Invariants (details)
Invariants are a new sequence of paintings inspired by both the forms of Neo-Concrete abstraction and the linear diagrams found in knot theory - the mathematical study of continuous, closed loops and their entanglements. The work continues the artist’s engagement with the interconnections between art and science. Once considered as pure mathematical abstraction, knot theory is now a key tool used in multiple scientific fields, revealing the physical and biological processes found in nature.
